Oprah’s Pick – The last time they met Anita Shereev

I also read this entire book from cover to cover. It was about a love affair. Litterally a lifetime love affair between two people. Who did not end up marrying eachother, but two completely different people.

Through out their lifetime they would find ways to either contact eachother by letter or find a way to be together. At a party they came face to face while their spouses were at their sides. The man who she was having an affair with his wife finally knew the truth which devistated her.

I felt sorry for the woman. She had, had a miscarriage and her husband said after that she was never the same person. But he continued to have an affair with the other woman he loved her that much and was willing to risk it.

Nothing more mattered to the two having the affair than to being together. I would give this book 3 stars.

It was hard to sit and read though all the letters that were written back and forth while she was in Africa. It was as if I’d get done reading one letter and then I’d run into another letter or too many of them in the same chapter.

Other than that the book was ok. I wasn’t quite as intrigued by this one as I was with
Suite Francaise.
