Today’s world

I highly doubt that the world is going to end in 2012. Tha’s only 2 years from now. I have seen documentaries about this and people have actually started planning for it. It’s actually not a bad idea. What if it does happen, you’ll have a place to go.

But with the world ending 2 years from now, it just seems unlikely. They even talk about in the Bible that when Jesus comes back that we won’t know the time, the day or the hour when he will return.  Of course if your an athiest you don’t believe that.  I completely believe it, how can you not. There is a constant battle since the beginning of time of good and evil.

We have an alternate universe,  space and planets. So for me it’s really not a hard concept to accept.  Today’s world seems to be getting faster and faster all the time. Do more in less time with less money. I think I am lucky that I have the ability to see further ahead. Like having a vision or a preminition, of what will happen if I don’t make certain decisions.

There is a lot going on in the world today, and if your not carefull it will drag you down. There are still a lot of positive things going on just focus on that.  Look for it. Take part in it. Don’t be dragged down by today’s world. Your happiness is determined by you.

Help Fight Loneliness

I know I frequent the definition of this word, loneliness. If you are single like me you probably do to. Loneliness, can lead to a good dose of depression. If you can think of one person who might be suffering from being alone, be a friend to them, pay a visit. It would mean the world to them. A lot of people seem to be very busy these days and forget about their single friends. I’ve had the feeling of abandonment quite often.

 lonely

–adjective

1. affected with, characterized by, or causing a depressing feeling of being alone; lonesome.

2. destitute of sympathetic or friendly companionship, intercourse, support, etc.: a lonely exile.

3. lone; solitary; without company; companionless.

4. remote from places of human habitation; desolate; unfrequented; bleak: a lonely road.

5. standing apart; isolated: a lonely tower.

I was speaking to my doctor the other day and was discussing Christmas time and how it comes up before you know it, and then before you realize it; it’s over just like that. It’s like a frenzy, and a climax of frenziness. Then you are back to being alone again. I’ve found myself to be very annoyed by the whole thing. A lot of times I don’t really look forward to Christmas because I know I end up going back home alone. She said one way to battle that is to make some plans with friends.

A lot of people volunteer around this time because it makes them feel good about themselves, which they are contributing to a commitment. I know I feel that way when I volunteer. It’s a great self gratifying feeling you get being a part of something that is bigger than yourself. That also will diminish your loneliness. It helps to alleviate stress, it has a great impact on your confidence and you might even want to do more!

It really isn’t good for anyone to be alone. They feel forgotten about, abandoned, left out and when you are left alone for long periods of time, of course loneliness feelings increase. Depression increases and you really feel like you are on a road that only you are traveling. Everyone else is on the highway and you are on the side streets, the unpaved paths and gravel roads.

Well, what do you do if you don’t have any friends? You do have at least one friend, or did you forget all about him? God is always with you no matter what. He’ll be the best friend you’ll ever have.

I think the only way to overcome your loneliness situations is to get out and get involved in something that matters to you. It can be tough. But you need to start somewhere. Take the first step.

Ecclesiastes 12:6
Life, lovely while it lasts, is soon over. Life as we know it, precious and beautiful, ends. The body is put back in the same ground it came from. The spirit returns to God, who first breathed it.

Strengthen your inner self, see yourself as God see’s you and not as other’s see you

Genesis 49:24But his bow remained strong and steady and rested in the Strength that does
not fail him, for the arms of his hands were made strong and active by the hands of the Mighty God of
Jacob, by the name of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,

It’s not easy trying to live your life when you feel you are a constant outcast. Just because you are different. Hey, you know what?? We are all different. If you think there is nothing wrong with you, and that you are better than someone else because they have obvious signs that they are weaker than you, than you are the one who need some adjusting.  That might be a hard thing to hear. But maybe it’s something you need to be hearing to correct yourself.

Sure, there are people out there who’s weakness’s are easier to spot than other’s, but that doesn’t mean that you intentionally make them feel bad about themselves because of it. Maybe they can’t help it? Maybe they have a condition that you can not see that is invisible to you. Making other’s feel bad about themselves because they are different from you is a sign of a bully.

I sincerely hope that you are not one of those people who are doing it. You will never realize the internal damage you might cause with that person. Everyone should feel good about themselves no matter who they are. When you cause internal damage to someone it’s such a hard fight to get back to the point where you once were.

Sometimes, there are people who may never fully recover from being victimized by a bully, because they have constant reminder’s.  Those constant reminder’s will cause even more damage psychologically. Depending on how strong minded the person is or isn’t.
Please don’t stop living your life because of a new bad apples in the basket. You are who you are and God made you in His image and likeness. Never forget that. Maybe I have repeated these things before, but faith comes by hearing, and hearing, and hearing the word of God.

We have the Word of God for this exact reason to strengthen us and keep us full of life and hope.

Psalm 138:3
In the day when I called, You answered me; and You strengthened
me with strength (might and inflexibility to temptation) in my inner self.

Proverbs 28

Wish I could do more

I love writing it brings out the passionate side of me. I am a swf in my 30’s who loves taking pictures. If I could I would takes pictures for websites for a living. That would be great for me I’d get to travel and go different places. I love being able to say what I want to say on my blog. If we were living in Afganastan, or Iraq we would not really be having these freedom’s that we do in the United States. We have so many more freedom’s than most people do in a lot of other countries.

Some countries you have to worry about stepping outside your front door, even in some of our neighborhood’s you have to worry about that. I was listening to an MPR interview the other day and this one guy who was being interviewed said he and his sister would hide in their bathroom to avoid getting shot at.

Can you imagine what it must be like to live like that in fear of being shot at in your own house? Just because your not in a nice neighborhood? It just makes me sad to think about those things. And that I or we can’t do more to prevent them from happening.

Just like our homeless situation. I wish I could do more than just feed them a meal. It just makes me sad that not all of them can be accepted into homeless shelters because they just don’t have enough room for everyone. So they have to turn some of them away back onto the streets.

I wish I could do more to help out. It makes my life seem pretty good compared to some others. Though it might not always seem that way at times. I just wish I could do more. I don’t have some of the problems that others might have like alchoholism, drug addition, not having a place to live, chemical dependancy, paranoid dillusions, severe mental illness, just to name a few of them.

Well maybe my little contribution to society is just keeping my life in order so that there is one less problem to deal with. I’ll think of it that way.

Today it was time for tears

God’s voice said and I cry with you.

I was sitting on my couch tonight and thinking to myself why is it that people want me to feel so bad about who I am? I just don’t get it? Tears started to come down my face, and I clearly heard God saying “I cry with you.”

God knows my pain and that is probably why it hurts more than it does. Because he is hurting with me. I’ll just never understand why people think that they need to do the things they do to another human being. I don’t think I will understand it except to say that, they don’t understand it themselves and want to feel that they are in control of what they don’t know.

After those tears came I did feel a relief. Every once in a while that happens. Sure some people might think I am loosing my mind. But that ain’t the case buddy! Now some people might think I should keep some things with the Holy Spirit (probably that too). But sometimes the Holy Spirit will overcome you whether it’s overcoming you with tears, with laughter, with Joy, with sadness.

There is a time for everthing under Heaven. Today it was time for tears. Those tears are now gone and now it’s time for joy. I don’t think I am meant to understand everything about people, if I were I’d have every answer to every human situation. And we all know that’s not even possible.

I’m just glad that I cried along side with God today instead of crying alone. God has his ways of reminding us that he is there.

How does he remind you?

Well I just got back from a trip to Lanseboro, MN. I would recommend though going the second week or third week of October. We went the frist weekend in October There were some colors that changed but not as many as I would have liked to see. I was a little bit disappointed. There was a lot more green than I anticipated.

But I found out one interesting fact that my Great Great Grandparents on my mom’s side came to Lanesboro, MN when they first settled in Minnesota. So, I need to start doing some family history research again. That is something that I would highly recommend doing because you never know who keeps those records. Someone in your family may have records if you were to just ask for them.

I wrote to some of my relatives in Sweden and they had records dating back to the early 1800’s on my dad’s side. I still have those copies and even pictures of when my Great Great Grandmother was a child! I’ll have to look up my G Gparents on the Ellis Island Passenger list website.

Giving False Hope to Others

False Hope.

Have you ever been disappointed by someone who has given you false hope or made you think that they were your friend only to disappoint you by saying things behind your back that you didn’t think would get repeated? It’s called false hope. Sure you’ve heard of it. I’ve been exposed to it and know what it feels like and not too good. There is scripture related to false hope’s.

Jeremiah 23:16
This is what the LORD Almighty says: “Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD.

One thing that really caught my attention was that

“they speak visions from their own
minds, not from the mouth of the Lord”

That is a key element right there! They have their own adgenda and for whatever reason they are doing these things, whether it’s to gain insight into your life for false hope, to try and gain control over you, to try and intimidate you, make you feel inferior. Whatever reason. There are people out there like that unfortunately. It’s like a person claiming to be a Christian but when they leave church they do a 180 degree turn and forget everything they were taught and what they learned about and immediately go back to the way that they behaved before. It’s like church is just some place to sit and “soak up the sun” and not soak in the word. Church is not all about entertainment it’s about enriching your life of the blessings of God! And being a light to others who need that light they need that hope that you have.

2 Samuel 22:29
You are my lamp, O LORD; the LORD turns my darkness into light.

Some people don’t like to see that light. They are confused and can’t understand it. That’s because they are not in that light themselves and continue to ignore it. If people would only inquire about what is it that makes you so different from everyone else? What is it about you? It’s the light that you are seeing. That’s what it is.

Exodus 14:20
coming between the armies of Egypt and Israel. Throughout the night the cloud brought darkness to the one side and light to the other side; so neither went near the other all night long.

My Note to God Today

My Note to God Today

Keep writing they say! :) Ok – I’ll keep writing. I’m glad I’ve inspired others it’s great that people are actually reading my blog. One thing I thought would never happen. Boy I wish I could say every thing that people try to do to me and just write it all out. I wonder what would happen. People sure try to keep intimidating me. Doesn’t happen as much anymore. But they still keep trying. They must think that they can somehow break me down into little pieces? I don’t know why that is. Some reason they have it in their heads – that I’m timid about a lot of things and really I’m not.

I am just giving random thoughts to night and don’t really feel like writing anything specific. No stories, no scripture, no research. I don’t feel inspired at the moment to do any of that. But I know it will come when I least expect it.

I like to think I’ve been helpful for others in what I’ve written. I keep pushing myself to go forward every day. Sometimes it’s harder than other days. I finally finished crocheting a purse and put the handle on. It’s a gift I am giving for Christmas. I am also going to be working on some sewing projects coming up soon as gifts.

I’m thinking of taking some sewing classes at one of the craft stores. I love making things and hope that I can get better and better at it and be able to make more than just purses and blankets. Love looking through the crochet books but once I start reading through those instructions it’s like huuuuu?

I do understand dc, ss, sc, yo, ss , beg and * but that’s about it for right now. I retaught myself how to crochet by watching online video’s through www.youtube.com they have pretty good video’s if you are interested in learning about crocheting. The only bad thing is that I am trying to learn to have patience and that is the hardest part, especially when you have huge projects like making blankets.

Proverbs 19:11
A man’s wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense.

Colossians 1:11
being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully

Remind Him Who’s Boss

1 Peter 5:8
Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

The devil will play tricks on your mind, he will oppress you until you become paralized with fear. Until you can no longer move. The Devil will find your weaknesses and exploit them. He will use every small crack in your mind, your body and your soul to weaken you. He inspires fear, sin, greed, coveteousness, etc.

Recognize when the devil is trying get a hold of you. Write down your weaknesses and keep track of them. See what it is that triggers it? Keep an eye on it for a while and see if you can recognize some patterns that are happening, this will enlighten you to a whole new level!

The devil is very sneaky. He’ll make you go around in circles, make you feel lowsy about yourself. If he knows where you are weak, he’ll try to destroy every part of it. Every part of you. You need to know when the devil is attacking you and tell him he is not allowed in your life.

Try to practice these things see how it goes? Don’t let fear dominate your life, you will just give the devil control , and we all know the devil is not in control. God is and always will be.

Matthew 4:1
[ The Temptation of Jesus ] Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil.

2 Timothy 2:26
and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will
